Services

Head Injury Support offers a range of services for adults with an Acquired Brain Injury and their Carers across the Southern Health & Social Care Area.

Head Injury Support Centre, Kildare St, Newry

  • Monday to Thursday from 11am - 4pm, we offer a diverse activity programme for ABI survivors and Carers
  • Friday nights from 7.30pm - 10.30pm we provide a social evening for ABI survivors, their Carers and other family members
  • On the 1st & 3rd Saturday nights of the month from 7.30pm - 11.30pm, ABI survivors and their partners can come along to a social outing that might include cinema, bowling, meals out etc

Banbridge & Craigavon Area

  • A 3 hour activity session from 10.30am - 1.30pm will be provided in this area on a weekly basis for ABI survivors, rotating weekly between these two venues
    •  Brownlow Community HUB, Craigavon
    •  Dromore Community Centre, Lurgan Road, Dromore

Armagh & Dungannon Area

  • A 3 hour activity session from 10.30am - 1.30pm will be provided in this area on a weekly basis for ABI survivors, rotating weekly between these two venues.
    • Dobbin Street Community Centre, Armagh
    • Aghaloo Community Centre, Aughnacloy

Newry & Mourne Area

  • A 3 hour activity session from 10.30am - 1.30pm will be provided in this area on a fortnightly basis for ABI survivors
    • Friday 11th November - Nautilus Centre Kilkeel

Other Services

  • Support groups and social inclusion activities for Carers
  • Peer to Peer support for those that would like to speak with someone that understands their situation
  • Support with accessing community services
