Head Injury Support offers a range of services for adults with an Acquired Brain Injury and their Carers across the Southern Health & Social Care Area.
Head Injury Support Centre, Kildare St, Newry
- Monday to Thursday from 11am - 3.30pm, we offer a diverse activity programme for ABI survivors and Carers
- Friday nights from 8.00pm - 10.30pm we provide a social evening for ABI survivors, their Carers and other family members (Not currently running due to Covid-19, we hope to resume soon)
- On the 1st & 3rd Saturday nights of the month from 7.30pm - 11.30pm, ABI survivors and their partners can come along to a social outing that might include cinema, bowling, meals out etc (Not currently running due to Covid-19, we hope to resume soon)
Banbridge & Craigavon Area
- An activity session from 10.30am - 1.00pm will be provided in this area on a weekly basis for ABI survivors at Brownlow Community HUB, Craigavon
Armagh Area
- An activity session from 10.30am - 1.00pm will be provided in this area on a weekly basis for ABI survivors at Dobbin Street Community Centre, Armagh
Dungannon Area
- An activity session from 10.30am - 1.00pm will be provided in this area on a weekly basis for ABI survivors at The Junction, Dungannon
Other Services
- Support groups and social inclusion activities for Carers
- Peer to Peer support for those that would like to speak with someone that understands their situation
- Support with accessing community services

- Signposting to other support agencies
